  9. The PPP Extensions WG met on February 6 and 7 at the IETF meeting at
  10. Florida State University.  The primary subject of discussion was the
  11. method for Link Quality Monitoring in the PPP Options document.  The
  12. main problem was how to clearly explain the process.  Some changes were
  13. made in the way that error variable are exchanged so that the process
  14. can broken up into separate tasks, thus making it easier to understand
  15. and implement.  These changes will be make and the document will be
  16. submitted to be an RFC.
  17.  
  18. Fred Baker presented his paper on how to do bridging over PPP. Fred will
  19. follow up on the comments make and work toward the goal of an RFC.
  20.  
  21. No progress was made on DECNET or XNS over PPP.
